“Success to me means improving my clients’ lives with great design.” — Julia Arria, ODS Architecture
Growing up in Santa Barbara, Julia Arria learned early to examine and appreciate the beauty, both natural and manmade, around her. Long before she spoke the language of architecture, she noticed how courtyards shaped breezes, how light shifted across a stucco wall, how a relaxed beach town created its own sense of balance.
Drawn equally to the clarity of math and the expressive freedom of art, Arria discovered that architecture could bridge both talents. A high-school art teacher, recognizing the intensity of Arria’s focus, nudged her into the school’s visual art and design academy, and once Arria decided she would become an architect, her commitment was absolute.
