Jeremy Perkins — Architects

“Architects exist to transpose your inspiration and ideas into beautifully composed spaces for living. This means our best projects are rooted in our client’s vision.”— Jeremy Perkins, Architect - Perkins Architecture

At the south end of the courtyard, the primary suite opens directly to the main pool and spa deck that sits elevated from the adjacent yard. This view captures the intentional detailing of the pool’s perimeter overflow, while revealing the unnoticed change in topography. The private spaces, including two guest suites, exist upstairs at the ends of the U-axis to create a sense of destination. No matter where you are in the house, the intentional lines of sight are made even more stunning by the owners’ impeccable art collection, carefully curated by their daughter.

Specific requests, such as a spot for their grand piano and a garage that’s hidden from the front façade, were honored while still allowing plenty of latitude for creative design. The building’s deep eaves, clerestory windows, rectilinear design, and warm materials harken back to the Prairie style that originated in the American Midwest. However, the home maintains the warmth and functionality of a family enclave while standing as a beautiful example of clean, contemporary design.
