Dan Nepp — Architects

“We aim to design homes that not only delight the eye but feel exactly right.”— Dan Nepp, Architect - TEA2 architects

But the process wasn’t without its challenges. One notable land constraint was a sacred Native American mound, now around which a dark stone retaining wall gracefully arcs, accompanied by a circle of smaller shade trees to ensure that this historical element remains an integral part of the landscape. The bluff on the property also limited direct sightlines from the home to the beach. The solution? A striking amphitheaterlike formation carved into the land, complete with a dramatic dark stone staircase leading to a gently sloping path, creating a dynamic visual connection.

As they have settled in, the family has found unexpected joy in certain areas of the home. The children gravitate toward the cozy inglenook, where they enjoy reading and studying, while the beautifully designed hallway leading to their rooms has become another favorite space. These intimate, well-crafted moments within the home speak to the thoughtful design and deep attention to detail provided by everyone involved in its creation.
