Nick Liebler — Architects
“Architecture is not a formula; it’s a response. Each project deserves its own voice, shaped by context, vision, and the pursuit of enduring beauty.”— Nick Liebler, Architect - White & Liebler Architects
At its core, Hemlock Point Cottage was designed as a retreat for family gatherings, a place where summers on the lake could be cherished for generations. One of the home’s most beloved spaces is the screened lakeside porch, which has become a favorite for dining, entertaining, and quiet moments of reflection by the fire as the sun sets over Walloon Lake.
For White & Liebler Architects, this project was more than just a beautiful home — it was a testament to the power of collaboration. The owners were deeply involved in the design process, envisioning the inviting wraparound porch and graceful sweeping gable over the entry that became defining features of the home. It was also one of the last projects completed in partnership with two esteemed mentors, architect and partner Nick White and interior designer Lucy Earl, whose influence is woven into every detail. The home stands as a tribute to their legacy and to the dedication of a team that poured their passion into creating something extraordinary.
Hemlock Point Cottage is a shining example of White & Liebler’s philosophy: authentic, timeless design that enhances a homeowner’s connection to land and water. It’s a place where leisure and relaxation come naturally, where every detail has been considered, and where memories will be made for years to come.
