“I believe that one must honor and disrupt in good balance.”— Lise de Vito, Zack | de Vito Architecture + Construction
A lifelong immersion in creativity paved Lise de Vito’s path into architecture. Born in Montréal, Quebec, to American parents — both graduates of the Rhode Island School of Design — she spent her early years surrounded by art, design, and the constant hum of creative dialogue.
When her family relocated to Northern California, the open landscapes, light, and modern architecture of the Bay Area became an indelible part of her design DNA. A childhood spent in a modernist home among hills and sunlight would later translate into an architectural philosophy deeply attuned to nature, space, and the emotional power of environment.
