“Your home should feel like self-care. Like being on vacation or taking a spa day. It should be a place where you can recharge, rehab, and grow among comfort and appreciation for the finer details of life.”

Joel Gallegos, architect

Since it was the height of COVID when design began, a multi-use home was top of the list. The first floor gained the more public spaces: work office, guest suite, formal dining, and formal living room, where the existing fireplace is flanked by the powder room and wet bar. This serves as a transition to the more lounge-worthy spaces of the den, breakfast nook, and kitchen, all of which benefited from square footage reallocated from now-nonexistent hallways.

Traveling through the den and using one of the large sliding doors flanking the see-through fireplace, one reaches the backyard, which is equipped with a lush pool and spa. The backyard can also be reached by cutting through the kitchen and heading to the covered outdoor living and kitchen space. The new layout seamlessly integrates the kitchen, dining areas, living rooms, and the indoor-outdoor zones, fostering enhanced interaction and connectivity among these spaces and promoting a cohesive living experience.
