Grand Opening of Tiffany Farha's Showroom at Round Top
"I'm never content to stop growing. This new showroom in Market Hill; it's a blank canvas to me. My own eclectic statement of whom I am. You can feel the energy of my Midwestern roots – the lessons from my creative mother, my father's immigrant heritage...all of the beautiful and hard experiences. I let it all shape me."
Tiffany Farha first opened her own business and launched her celebrated interior design career in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Tiffany was proud of her roots, but felt the gravitational pull of city life. She was certain she was a "big city girl," attracted to the energy, the vibrancy the creativity and pace of urban life. She bounced between the east and west coast, and everywhere in between–until "in between" became where she stayed.
Family brought Tiffany back to Kansas, and an appreciation for the community, the craft, the adventure made it again her home, and the groundwork for the greater part of her career.
Tiffany's wonderful clients welcomed her to her home of Wichita with enthusiasm and grace. Tiffany shares her gratitude for her amazing and creative community, despite a more limited abundance and accessibility of design resources – the shoppes and showrooms and art and antique fairs lining every corner of L.A. and New York. Without this ease and availability, Tiffany began deliberately and innovatively collecting. Soon, her 4 car garage and a large warehouse were both brimming with her collected treasures: art and antiques to incorporate into her clients' projects. Tiffany began traveling with her clients overseas, in search of statement antiques to fill their homes with character, history, and an element of surprise. Her hunt for the perfect pieces brought her to Round Top, Texas. It was love at first sight. For her first few seasons there, she experienced it only as a designer. Until, as her collection grew and grew, she began to see her future as a dealer.
In October, Tiffany Farha Design celebrated the official launch of a gorgeous 3,100 square-foot showroom in the permanent Market Hill venue of Round Top. Clients are escorted and chauffeured by golf cart from the showroom to the expansive warehouse, housing an even larger inventory. All of this was made possible by her incredible and devoted team. With their support, she opened the doors to a truly new era of her design.
The store's specialty is a "mix of everything" Tiffany loved. It's a diverse selection, representing French, Italian, Louis XVI, Mid-Century, Hollywood Regency, and Modern, accented with Tiffany's ranch style. "I love to work with my clients, from around the country, who come to me for my passion, who value the story of these pieces, who want me to unleash my full creativity, and who let me really run with it."
Modish: The Book of Great Design exhibits a southwestern residential project that highlights Tiffany's interior design talent, and features many of the antiques she's collected through her travels.
Stacy Graubart of Houston-based SG Designs, also published in Modish, joined Tiffany in celebrating the showroom's grand opening.
