Kristin Dittmar— Interior Designer

“Even in very intimate spaces like the master bathroom or bedroom, privacy is well provided for in this natural setting. Scenic beauty and natural lighting is not shut out, but rather invited in as a dynamic design. As the light of the day shifts, it subtly changes the way the spaces appear.”

Kristin Dittmar, interior designer

Born and raised in Aspen, Colorado, Kristin Dittmar is one of the town’s most sought after designers for residential and commercial projects. She has cultivated a distinctive modern-mountain aesthetic that incorporates the latest contemporary design with the finest natural materials.

From maximizing the space of a slopeside condo to weaving a contemporary and classic together in a 19th-century Victorian, to managing a cellar-to-attic renovation of a 10,000 square-foot home, Dittmar and her knowledgeable team can do it all.

“Design should be beautiful and clean, but comfortable at the same time,” she explains. “I am fully aware that pets, kids, and red wine all exist in the real world.”

On the commercial side, Kristin designed the super-chic O2 Aspen yoga studio and store, the Marble Showroom on Main Street, 7908 Aspen Supper Club and Aspen’s hottest new restaurant, Casa D’Angelo. She’s also worked on projects on both coasts, bringing a little bit of ski-town chic to the big cities. — Excerpt from modish: the book of great design
