“Architecture and design are service industries, and bringing joy in a physical form to our clients is what keeps me doing what I do every day.”

The kitchen, living, and dining room is all one open space on the public level. To elevate the kitchen and differentiate it from other units in the building, the upper cabinets were updated with steel and fluted glass fronts to tie in with the new dark Port Laurent marble now covering the countertops, backsplash, and monolithic island.
This light and playful room is surrounded by glass on three sides, the only solid wall hides the unit’s mechanical systems with floor-to-ceiling Shinnoki wood paneling that incorporates a wine wall and pull-out bar as you experience Austin from a priceless vantage point. The second floor is where the family’s private space and sleeping quarters are. Past the custom walnut bookcase at the top of the landing await cozy nooks to read and take in the city view, a colorful and joyous family room, and a bespoke colored glass and steel entry to the primary suite. Previously the owners had lived part-time in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, so recreating that beautiful mountain warmth in a downtown high-rise meant everyone was thrilled with this showstopper penthouse.
