Designing the Human Experience — benton buckley books Joins Month of Modern
This September, benton buckley books is honored to collaborate with Month of Modern as part of a month-long celebration devoted to architecture, design, art, and culture in Boulder, Colorado. Bringing together architects, designers, artists, and visionaries, Month of Modern is built on the belief that thoughtful design enriches not only our surroundings, but also the way we experience the world.
Our publishing house exists to preserve authentic voices through museum-quality coffee table books that celebrate architecture, interiors, and design. Every title is thoughtfully curated with the belief that beauty deserves permanence.
That shared commitment to meaningful design makes this collaboration a natural one.
Throughout Month of Modern, conversations unfold between architects, designers, makers, and creatives whose work continues to shape the future of the built environment. These exchanges remind us that design is never static — it evolves through dialogue, curiosity, and a willingness to imagine what comes next.
One event we are especially looking forward to is Kick-Off: Cocktails & Conversations, an evening that brings together industry leaders and design enthusiasts for thoughtful discussion.
In this discussion, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have as speakers:
Kristin Dittmar Doremus of Kristin Dittmar Design — Aspen-based interior designer of Kristin Dittmar Design featured in our titles, /be-spōk/ [bespoke]: a philosophy of beauty and modish: the book of great design. Kristin creates refined interiors that blend natural materials with modern mountain sophistication. From historic log homes to restaurants, her work balances warmth, luxury, and architectural sensitivity.
Kenneth Adler, AIA, founder of Aspen-based KA DesignWorks — featured in our New View: A Curated Visual Gallery: Twenty Magnificent Homes by Mountain West Architects. Kenneth creates refined mountain and resort residences rooted in clarity, function, and connection to the landscape. His collaborative approach and use of advanced visualization bring each client’s vision to life with precision.
benton buckley books will be there with a curated selection of architecture and design titles, inviting guests to continue those conversations through the pages of books created to inspire long after the evening concludes.
That philosophy has guided benton buckley books since its beginning. We publish much as a gallerist curates an exhibition — carefully selecting voices, perspectives, and projects that contribute something enduring to the cultural conversation. Every book becomes an invitation to slow down, reflect, and discover beauty in a deeper way.
Our partnership with Month of Modern extends that mission beyond the printed page. It connects us with a community that values craftsmanship, thoughtful dialogue, and the transformative power of great design.
We look forward to celebrating alongside fellow architects, designers, artists, collectors, and lovers of beautiful spaces throughout the programming.
